What Happened In Chapter 215?
In Down to Earth Chapter 215, Kade is at work, being nice to customers and Stace asks if Zaida probed his brain or something. He recalls the way he changed and tried to be better. Kade thanks him and checks his phone to find his mother’s message from twenty minutes ago saying she’s dropping by and he bolts immediately.
Reaching home, he slams open the door to find his mother with a present in the living room. He asks about Zay and his mother says she locked herself in the room. Worried, she asks what’s going on and Kade pretends to be as clueless as her. His mother, shocked, asks if he turned her into a recluse like him and tries the bedroom door again. She uses a card and opens the locked door, Kade warns her to not go in there and yells, “THERE’S DIRTY BOOKS OPEN ALL OVER”. His mother, glaring, reminds him she cleaned his room when he was in high school and that she’s seen it all.
She opens the door and sees Zay on the floor, picking up gems that are strewn over. She turns around, no horns visible, shocking Kade. Apologizing to his mother, she says she was trying to clean the mess she had caused, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 215.
Down to Earth Chapter 216: No More Horns!
In Down to Earth Chapter 216, Zay apologizes about the mess she created and says she did not want Kade’s mother to see it. Worried, his mother looks at the shiny gems and asks if it’s glass, offering to help. Stopping her, Zay assures them she is fine and says Kade will help her. Getting back to his senses, Kade quickly agrees and shoos his mother off into the living room. The moment she leaves, he runs into Zay, hugging her tight. He asks if she’s okay and she runs him through what happened.
She was doing the laundry when her head started aching again. As she was holding it together, she heard his mother and ran into the bedroom. Panicking, she watched the crystals fall off her horns and helplessly waited till it all went off.
Kade apologizes for not being there for her and she assures him she’s fine now. Gathering the Zodianite in a pouch, he suggests hiding it away. In that moment, his mother pops up again and the two head to the living room. There, his mother hands her a beautiful golden heart-shaped locket which she loves immediately. She then heads off, saying she dropped by to give the present. Once she’s gone, Zay asks Kade if they can go out, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 216.
